Physiotherapist IMS (Anatomic Neuropathic) & Acupuncture (CAFCI) Practitioner, Temporomandibular Therapist Rachel graduated in 2011 with a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from the University of British Columbia. She has been working in private practice physiotherapy since graduating and is dedicated to continuing her postgraduate education. She has completed a TMD Fellowship to specialize in treating TMJ disorders (TMD). She is certified in Intramuscular Stimulation from FHE (AN-IMS) and in Acupuncture from CAFCI. She has also completed her Orthopedic Division Manual Therapy Level 2, amongst many other orthopedic courses. As a physiotherapist, Rachel employs a variety of treatment techniques to help her patients recover, understand their injuries, address the underlying causes, and prevent future injuries. Rachel has a passion for physiotherapy and has years of experience working with clientele of all ages, fitness levels and a wide variety of injuries. Rachel treats all issues from sports-based injuries to postural problems to issues arising from simply sitting at a desk all day, as well as postsurgical, motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries. As a TMD therapist, she treats cervical spine disorders, cervicogenic headaches, orofacial pain and TMJ disorders (TMD). Outside the clinic, Rachel herself is a skier, kayaker and an avid hiker. She likes nothing better than getting outdoors and enjoying everything beautiful Vancouver has to offer!
This is a comprehensive one hour examination for conditions which require a more detailed assessment. A one hour initial examination can be requested at any time should you prefer a longer appointment time with your therapist.
