Sydney is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Master of Physical Therapy. Sydney has obtained her Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Level I certification, as well as certifications for both dry-needling and pelvic floor therapy. Her treatment philosophy includes a combination of soft tissue techniques, manual therapy skills, and individualized exercise programs. She believes strongly in the importance of dedicating space and time for her clients to share their concerns, emphasizing personalized care to best determine and address the underlying causes of pain or dysfunction. Sydney began dancing at the age of three, and with over ten years of experience as a dance teacher she has a particular interest in working with dancers, yogis, and other movement explorers. She also has a keen interest in women’s health, chronic pain, and trauma-sensitive practice, and strives to provide safe and accessible care to all bodies. Sydney believes that understanding your body and injury is a critical element to the healing process, and focuses on providing education to empower her clients to be active members in their recovery. When not at the clinic, Sydney can be found unwinding in a hot yoga class, voraciously reading, training at the gym, or working in her garden. An adventurer at heart, she enjoys hiking, camping, and back-country exploring with her partner – particularly if there are hot springs involved!
