LaVonna Hines, LMT, graduated from Lexington Healing Arts Academy in July 2019. She received additional training in Ashiatsu in May 2022 in Asheville, NC. Ashiatsu/deep tissue is her preferred modality when working with clients. She has an interest in reflexology and any therapies that help with coping with PTSD and addiction. When LaVonna isnt massaging you will find her reading, watching movies and documentaries, vintage/antique shopping, hiking, swimming, traveling, petting and hugging any animal that will allow her to, spending time in nature doing almost anything, and hanging out with her two daughters. She enjoys DoorDashing and volunteering for concessions at UK and Bengals games.
Massage Therapy
We have consolidated our previous massage services, Swedish, Targeted and Deep Tissue, into one simple category- the Foundational Massage Session. These basic modalities are the foundation of the more advanced, specialized modalities that our therapists offer. During the intake portion of your massage session let your therapist know the depth of pressure and areas of concern that you need addressed so they can tailor your session to meet your individualized needs.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a focused pressure technique performed on the feet based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which corresponds to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs of the entire body. When the reflexes are stimulated by the therapist applying pressure with her hands, the body's natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones.
