Camellia (they/she) is a level 3 intern at Yo San University clinic, completing her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. They are also a certified Self-Healing Qigong and Taoist Meditation instructor through the College of Tao. She previously earned academic honors and a Bachelor's in Africana Studies at Brown University. Camellia is passionate about Chinese medicine as a modality for Healing Justice (Cara Page, Kindred Southern Healing Justice Collective) in the tradition of the Black Panthers' and Young Lords' use of acupuncture for community care. Their clinical approach is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally-grounded, health-at-every-size, gender-affirming care. Camellia is fluent in Portuguese, has working Spanish proficiency, and is reclaiming her Taiwanese ancestors' medicine for collective liberation. As the founder of the Healing Justice organization Epigenetic Alchemy, Camellia regularly collaborates with SOVERN and Dignity & Power Now.
