Dee believes in an individual and holistic approach to each client, not only helping to facilitate healing and relaxation, but also educating the mind and body to maintain quality wellness. She is an educator, having spent 25 years as a Health & Physical Education teacher and coached 3 different sports prior to becoming a skilled massage therapist 12 years ago. Dee was a competitive athlete from junior high through college where she participated in volleyball, track and field and cross country. She understands the demands on and needs of the body and works to return each client to their respective activities as quickly and safely as possible.Her three children were all competitive athletes in college; cheerleading, diving and wrestling. Dee's clients span from children to seniors, body maintenance to structural rehabilitation, weekend warriors to elite competitive athletes. She doesn't hesitate to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to get solutions for you! Currently, Dee is a member of the Kansas University Football Sports Massage Crew.
Medical massage addresses an injury or condition in a targeted area or system of the body. An integrated, therapeurtic approach is taken which incorporates a variety of massage modalities which may include: deep tissue, fascial-neural rebalancing, neuromuscular therapy and more. Session time will be spent focused on the problem area and finishing with the whole body if time allows.
