Greetings Courtenay and Comox Valley! I feel extremely grateful for the warm welcome from your beautiful and friendly town and find myself feeling wonderfully settled in. Heres a bit about me My approach to treatment is gentle, attentive, and focused. I value the uniqueness of each individual and aim to support clients in feeling empowered as they move toward greater balance and well-being. I have a passion and respect toward acupuncture traditions that continues to deepen as I evolve in my practice. I focus on Japanese-style Acupuncture (Kiiko Matsumoto Style), combined with AcuTonics sound therapy. This approach uses shallow needle insertions and specific palpation areas, allowing for real-time feedback to guide both diagnosis and treatment across a wide range of health concerns. AcuTonics incorporates calibrated tuning forks applied to acupuncture points, creating gentle vibrational frequencies that help regulate the nervous system, support energetic balance, and invite a deeply restorative state within the body. Each session is thoughtfully tailored and may include a blend of techniques drawn from the Traditional Chinese Medicine umbrella, such as palpation and shallow needling, Okyu-style moxibustion, AcuTonics sound and vibration, cupping, gua sha, tuina and shiatsu acupressure, as well as TCM-based nutrition and lifestyle guidance (Shi Liao). Experience: I have had the amazing opportunity to grow a thriving practice starting in Victoria BC working at some of the highest regarded Multi-disciplined clinics throughout the city. I enjoy working with many other practitioners and modalities and always happy to help clients find the right fit/modality for their health needs. I am very passionate about bringing the many benefits of Acupuncture out into the community beyond my clinical work. I have had the pleasure to work alongside community programs for Addictions Recovery using NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocols and I continue to support, study and work with Acupuncturist without Borders (AWB).
