Carrie Wilds is a licensed acupuncturist with NCCAOM board certification in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Carrie received her Master’s degree at Pacific College of Health and Sciences in San Diego, California. She trained in the use of Chinese medicine for pediatric care at the highly esteemed Rady Children’s Hospital and worked as an acupuncturist with specialized groups including Hospice care. Carrie is deeply passionate about building rapport and establishing trust with patients to best help them on their journey to the happiest and most healthy versions of themselves. She treats a myriad of conditions with a passion for mental health, pediatrics and pain management. She provides meaningful care via Traditional Chinese Medicine and its various modalities: acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, guasha, Chinese herbology and lifestyle coaching. Carrie believes that her role as a practitioner is to help clear a path to walk beside her patients to wellness and ultimately more enriched lives. When not practicing Chinese medicine, Carrie can be found exercising her passions in improv theater, needle felting, fitness, reading, writing and spending time with her 22-pound Maine Coon cat named Mackerel.
Initial acupuncture visits include a thorough health history covering all body systems (digestive, respiratory, mental-emotional, reproductive, musculoskeletal), physical exam, traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, and acupuncture treatment. Hair-thin needles placed along pathways that connect to the organs. Effective for all types of pain, as well as internal imbalances with sleep, digestion, allergies, women’s health, anxiety and depression. Acupuncture activates the body's own self-healing mechanism, regulates the nervous system and improves blood flow.
