Candice is an Orthopaedic Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people move with confidence and return to the activities they love. Whether it's running a race, hiking a favourite trail, keeping up with your children, or simply moving without pain, she believes everyone deserves to live an active, healthy lifestyle. She enjoys working with people of all ages and activity levels, from recreational exercisers to competitive athletes. Originally from Nova Scotia, Candice completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick before earning her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2008. In 2017, she completed a second master's degree—a Master of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at Western University—earning the internationally recognized designation of Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). This advanced training reflects extensive postgraduate education in assessment, clinical reasoning, and manual therapy for musculoskeletal conditions. Committed to lifelong learning, Candice has completed extensive postgraduate training in concussion rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, the McKenzie Method for the treatment of low back pain, running injury assessment and prevention, exercise prescription, soft tissue treatment approaches, acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, and Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (dry needling) through the University of British Columbia. This diverse training allows her to tailor treatment to each individual's needs using the most appropriate evidence-informed techniques. Candice believes the best outcomes come from understanding each person's goals and creating an individualized treatment plan that empowers patients to take an active role in their recovery. Candice combines manual therapy, movement, and practical education to help patients build confidence and long-term success to help you return to work, sport, or everyday life. Her focus is not only on relieving pain but also on helping patients build confidence, improve movement, and achieve lasting results. In addition to clinical practice, Candice is passionate about advancing the physiotherapy profession. She is an instructor and mentor with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and currently serves as Mentorship Chair for the National Orthopaedic Division Education Committee. She enjoys mentoring physiotherapists pursuing advanced manual therapy training and helping develop the next generation of musculoskeletal clinicians. When she's not in the clinic, you'll likely find Candice out for a run, hiking, skiing, reading, or spending time outdoors with her husband and two energetic children. She understands firsthand the importance of staying active and loves helping others continue doing the activities that bring them joy.
