Gielyn is a graduate of the 4 year Advanced program from the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a registered TCM Practitioner & Acupuncturist who is in good standings with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. For as long as Gielyn can remember she always wanted a career in the healthcare field. With an education background in Biotechnology & Life Sciences, the world of Complimentary & Alternative Medicine was not introduced to her until her last year of studies at McMaster University. After realizing that Naturopathy was not her calling, she shifted her focus to Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a TCM practitioner Gielyn understands that each person’s body is different and the condition they present is unique to that individual. She believes that it is important to find the root cause in order to correct the imbalance. In clinic, Gielyn sees various types of conditions including but not limited to acute/chronic pain, stress, headaches/migraines, insomnia, GI disorders, seasonal allergies, and infertility. She uses a combination of acupuncture, Tui na, cupping, Gua sha, and moxa to aid patients in their journey to recovery.
