She initially worked in Alberta in outpatient public practice, home care and long term care and since 1998 has worked in private practice including working at Eagle Ridge Aquatic Centre Physiotherapy since 2004. Cheryl specializes in manual therapy using these techniques with education and exercise to optimize a patient’s movement, function, and strength. Cheryl is very passionate to help her patients achieve their goals and uses a broad range of postgraduate education to help them with their healing process. She received her Intermediate Certificate in Manipulative Therapy (joints) from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in 2001 and later completed her Vertebral 4 training. Since 2010 she has studied and trained extensively in Visceral and Neural Manipulation (soft tissue techniques) through the Barral Institute and then trained in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She enjoys educating other practitioners and is a Teaching Assistant with both the Barral and Upledger Institutes.
