Hello, Im Rachel Carter, a holistic Licensed Massage Therapist who specializes in Craniosacral and myofascial release. I love my job and I am passionate about helping people become pain-free and have joy in their lives again. My touch is highly intuitive and nurturing a balance many people seek when their bodies need thoughtful, skilled care. I keep your best interest as a top priority when I work with you. My goal is not just to treat muscles, but to care for you as a whole person mind, body, and spirit. My customized work is a therapeutic blend of myofascial release, deep neuromuscular work, dynamic stretching, and a craniosacral nervous system reset. I always meet my client where they are at and I like to hold a safe, comforting space for people. I am a trauma-informed and specialty trained therapist. While Im trained in Somato-Emotional Release, I never encourage this type of release with my clients, unless they specifically speak with me about it beforehand. I have many years of experience working alongside psychologists and I am happy to serve in this way, if you need it. I am adult, pediatric, and infant trained in Craniosacral Therapy and I offer tandem Craniosacral appointments for mother and baby/child or for two family members together at the same time. connect personally with my work through the great teacher of emotional pain. In 2017 I lost a child in utero at twenty weeks. We learned that Baby Bella had severe hydrocephalus and almost no brain tissue. We made the decision to end the pregnancy and deliver our baby sleeping. We experienced both emotional and societal fallout from that decision. Despite the overwhelming grief I was lucky in that I was able to receive Craniosacral Therapy before we released Bella. My practitioner helped me tune in to my babys soul, say goodbye and experience the love she has for me. In the months that followed when I faced physical complications from the birth and everyone had an opinion about our decision, knowing that my child loved me fully and completely was what pulled me through. Today I bring that unconditional love to everyone I touch. Love is a solid rock to stand on when everything else is falling apart and Craniosacral Therapy consistently brings that love to my massage table.
