Michael has been a registered massage therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia since 1999. He has completed a comprehensive program in manual osteopathy (2018) and now focuses his practice primarily on this form of holistic, hands-on care. Manual osteopathy is a gentle, whole-body approach to treatment that works with the body's natural structure and function. Grounded in anatomy, physiology, and neurology, it looks beyond symptoms to understand the interconnected systems of the body—musculoskeletal, visceral, craniosacral, and more. Each session is informed by your personal and medical history, with the goal of restoring balance, movement, and optimal health. Michael has also completed the Medical Qigong Practitioner program, integrating principles of energy medicine into his personal approach to self-care. This training supports an ongoing commitment to treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit
This introductory session includes a thorough assessment and review of the client's health history as well as 50-60 minutes of hands-on treatment time and discussion of self-care where applicable. FOR NEW PATIENTS. This is for new patients who have not seen Michael Kono before at this clinic.
