Dr Ryan’s first chiropractic experience was over 20 years ago related to a football injury sustained in high school. After not being able to stand fully upright, let alone participate in a practice or game for two weeks, it was a visit to the chiropractor and three quick treatments before returning to the field. He has been an advocate for the practice ever since and has finally switched careers to join this amazing profession. Dr Ryan took an unorthodox path before graduating in 2024 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He first obtained a diploma in Engineering Design followed by a degree in Technology Management; both from NAIT. He worked for over a decade in the steel fabrication industry and is proud to have been involved with numerous projects in Edmonton and across the western provinces. Dr Ryan can empathize with your pain. He suffered from chronic, debilitating low back pain for thirteen years with no apparent cause and no real diagnosis despite multiple scans and bloodwork from both medical and alternative practitioners. His frustration led to him taking his healing into his own hands. He is familiar with the physical and mental aspects of pain and how the mind can manifest itself in the body. What he has learned through his own healing journey, he incorporates into a patient-centered approach by utilizing manual adjustments, MRT, acupuncture, and exercise. Dr Ryan maintains his health through regular exercise, gratitude, self-improvement, time outdoors, and of course, regular visits to the chiropractor. He believes stimulating both sides of the nervous system to maintain mind and body balance is a keystone to longevity.
