Beverly Seip graduated from the prestigious Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences which is now the Kootenay Columbia College of Integrated Health Sciences in Nelson, British Columbia. Beverly became a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists (CTCMA) of British Columbia in 2004. Post graduate education includes Certification in Laser Therapy, Nutritional and Functional Medicine, Diet and Lifestyle Coaching, Trigger Point Therapy, Dry Needling, IMS. Beverly treats anything related to pain, gastro-intestinal system, or auto-immune system related. Beverly enjoyed her work as an instructor to third year Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences students. This was in liason with Nelson Mental Health and Addictions Services offering free acupuncture treatments to the public. Beverly also enjoyed her private practice in Nelson, BC, until a suitable successor (Christi Hartman, ND) acquired the practice in 2012, after deciding to make Vancouver Island her home. The Duncan practice has grown and evolved since the fall of 2012 and serves the lovely community of the Cowichan Valley. Beverly incorporates 20+ years of clinical practice and many years of post-graduate certifications, courses and programs in: Laser Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM Acupuncture, Functional Medicine and Nutritional Medicine, Tuina (Chinese soft tissue manipulative therapy), Gua Sha, and Cupping, The administration and use of manual, mechanical, thermal and electrical stimulation, Addictions, Digestive Health, Hormone Balance, Sports Medicine, Regenerative Medicine, Trigger Point Acupuncture, Dry Needling, IMS.
This 1.5 hour Initial Visit includes both consultation and therapeutic treatment that can include a variety of techniques such as Laser Acupuncture Therapy, Trigger Point Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese medicine, Cupping, Tui-na massage, and more. We will complete a thorough review of your medical history, including a review of any diagnostic lab tests/results that you bring with you. We will do a physical assessment relevant to your current complaint(s) and review your nutritional supplements and/or medications. Recommendations will be given for your diet and lifestyle as needed.
