Misty is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Neuromuscular Therapist with extensive medical massage training. She believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and utilizes her expertise to assist in this process. Through listening to the body and thoughtful communication with her clients, she has a collaborative approach of reaching the specific goals of the client. She believes in delivering outcome based treatments through effectively communicating with her clients and educating them before, during, and after their treatment Her approach to body work is rather unique, integrating Swedish, Medical, Neuromuscular, Visceral Manipulation, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial and Connective tissue release, Craniosacral Therapy, stretching, Cupping Therapy, and polarity. Through compassionate and careful listening, combined with her clinical education, she addresses both physical, emotional, and energetic issues, gently ushering your body towards peace, balance, relaxation. She works to slowly engage with the body to assess what it needs, working to alleviate any tension or pain. She enjoys focusing on the neck and shoulder area, chronic pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, nervous system issues such as MS and Parkinson’s. Misty also is trained in Oncology Massage, and end of life massage. Misty is currently studying for her HMS (Human Movement Specialist) Certification as well as a Certification in Herbalism (Curanderismo.) She is a firm believer in Holistic healing of the not only the body, but mind and Spirit as well. In her off time, she practices Martial arts, plays softball, weightlifts, and always reading to further educate herself.
