Dr. Jason Gearhart is the owner and founder of Vital Six Physical Therapy and Performance. Dr. Gearhart received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. In 2014, he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he was an assistant for outpatient orthopedic testing and diagnosis to graduate students. He then went on to complete a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at the #1 ranked physical therapy school in the United States - Washington University St. Louis. Dr. Gearhart also has advanced manual therapy training with the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. and is considered an expert in orthopedic physical therapy. Dr. Gearhart's special interests include the treatment of shoulder, hip, and low back pain, spinal disorders, sports injuries, manual therapy, tennis-related injuries, running injuries, and solving complex patient cases that have failed other treatment approaches. He prides himself on getting his patients better faster, by using the most current evidence-based interventions, and doing what is best for the patient’s goals. His core belief is that it is not about the physician, the physical therapist, or the insurance company: it is about what is truly best for the patient. Dr. Gearhart resides in Kansas City, MO, and enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle, exercising, tennis, playing tennis, reading, and spending time with his better half Sarah and dog Remy.
