Dr. Rob Benati

Dr. Robert Benati grew up in the Dorchester area where he attended St. David elementary school, Lord Dorchester Secondary School and then went on to get his B.Sc. in Honours Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo before graduating in 1997 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He opened up his practice here in Dorchester shortly after graduating and has spent his career helping the Dorchester community reach their optimal health. Dr. Benati became interested in Chiropractic when he was a teenager after his mother had a serious back injury that had her bed ridden for 6 months. She was facing surgery and the possibility of paralysis when she seeked out Chiropractic. Chiropractic saved her life and she continues to lead a full and active lifestyle because of it. The incredible transformation that she made changed Dr. Benati and he knew he wanted to pursue this career where he could help others like his mother was helped. Dr. Benati believes in the natural, inborn ability of the body to heal itself. By finding areas of misalignment of the spine and correcting them, it allows the nervous system to flow more freely. This enables the body to do what is natural – to heal. When alignment is properly maintained, the body functions optimally and thereby allows you to be able to do what you love. When you feel better, you are able to enjoy life to the fullest! Dr. Benati has been happily married to his high school sweetheart, Kari, and has 2 amazing daughters, Julia and Nicole. The whole family lives and breathes soccer, but also enjoys many other sports and outdoor activities. Dr. Benati continues to play soccer, and has coached both his girls through their younger years as well as the high school boys team for a 10 year period.
