Marissa graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honour’s Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics in 2023. Throughout her studies, she gained in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and the biomechanics that underlay movement. Equipped with a passion for teaching, a strong interest in healthcare and a curiosity in studying human movement, she discovered the field of physiotherapy at CCPW. In fact, you may remember Marissa from her time as a PTA and Administrator from a few years ago! Marissa moved on to obtain her Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in August of 2025. During her time at UofT, she had the opportunity to learn from leaders and highly experienced clinicians in many fields and settings. As she enters practice, she plans to continue her education with courses on acupuncture, vestibular, concussion and advanced orthopaedics, among many others. She is always seeking new ways to expand her knowledge base and skill set to better serve her patients. Marissa is looking forward to rejoining the CCPW team in-person and giving back to the amazing community from which she learned so much!
