I graduated from the Bodywork Therapy program at the Vancouver School of Healing Arts in June 2019 and have continued to expand my skills and training since then. I have experience in Swedish relaxation and deep tissue massage, hot stone massage, aromatherapy massage, Indian head massage, Abhyanga hot oil massage, and chair massage. I have recently completed a course in Ayurvedic lymphatic drainage and I am excited to offer this service at Salt Wellness Centre. I enjoy helping others on their health and wellness journey and look forward to seeing you soon.

Massage Therapy

2 hour Ayurvedic Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Ayurvedic Lymphatic Massage is an ancient Modality and has been around for 5000 years. It uses a series of pumping, light lymph massage and flushing techniques. It opens up all of the ducts or channels to allow for the proper flow of oxygen, waste and food to move through the whole-body system. This is a very relaxing and sedating treatment as there is a lot of somatic rocking throughout the treatment. The focus of this treatment is the area above the muscular system, where everything is stored within the lymphatic system. Most people feel very light and energized after a session. These effects may last up to 2 weeks. You may expect a lot of elimination to occur. Keeping well hydrated before and after will benefit your system even more and prevent potential healing/detox symptoms. Along with the benefits from strengthening your immune system, you may also experience weight loss, reduced aches and pains, reduced stiffness, less fog brain, less water retention and positive skin texture changes. It is recommended to do a series of 4 sessions, once per week or within a month, to clear and open the body for better health. After 4 sessions, it is recommended to do this treatment once monthly to maintain the benefits. This unique form of lymphatic drainage also uses coconut oil mixed with essential oils to promote detoxification and healthy drainage. This gentle massage technique helps in improving circulation, reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system, and relieving congestion. By promoting the detoxification process, lymphatic drainage can also assist in weight loss and improve the appearance of the skin. You should also notice a reduction in fluid retention and bloating post treatment. Contraindications: Pregnancy/Breast Feeding, Cancer remission within a year, open wounds/sores, skin infection or rash. Please let your therapist know if you have had gastric bypass surgery or you have tubes in your stomach (will avoid liver and spleen).
