Hello there! I'm Megan Rush-Booth, I am a New York State licesend Massage Therapist. I studied at Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy in Esopus, NY. I completed 1040 hours in Massage therapy, then went on to get my New York State Massage license in January of 2012. My drive to become a massage therapist came from when I was a very little child I wasdiagnosedwith Scoliosis, not severe but bad enough that I had back aches and saw a chiropractor every other week. I always remember thinking I wish someone could just rub my back to help make this better and it pushed me even at a young age to want to do Massage Therapy, to help those who need it. After school I worked for 2 years at aphysicaltherapists office and 4 years at a day spa and now onto owning my own business Mountainside Therapeutic Massage Along the way I quickly realized my passion for Medical Massage. I continue to enjoy helping heal those who need it, to help work on injuries and make the recovery time easier and quicker. Another passion I found along the way and after the pregnancy of my Daughter, is Pregnancy, Labor, infant and postpartum massage. As a mother myself I truly understand the need for massage through every single stage of pregnancy, labor and postpartum. I am currently working in Pownal VT at Mountainside Therapeutic Massage and loving every moment.
Massage Therapy
This service is provided by LMTs offering a clinical, focused care approach to relieving pain, injury rehab, treatment of specific symptoms or conditions diagnosed by a physician, & optimal health and performance for sport or daily function. A range of modalities can be applied to reach the treatment goal, including but are not limited to: Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique, Cupping Therapy, spot-specific Hot/Cold stones, heat and Passive/Active stretching.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a focused pressure technique done to the feet only, to help correct energy flows throughout the body. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts on the foot which correspond and are relative to all parts, glands and organs in the body. Our reflexology service includes the use of hot stones and a foot scrub followed by hot towels to further your relaxation and healing. Both lengths of the reflexology service can be added to any other service.
