Varsha Wadekar

I’m Varsha, a registered physiotherapist in Canada with a deep passion for helping people heal and thrive. Originally from India, I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in physiotherapy and bring 13 years of diverse experience from both India and Canada. My journey began in a multispecialty hospital in India, where I worked for four years with critical care patients, post-operative cases, neurological rehabilitation, and pediatric populations. This experience taught me the importance of compassionate, tailored one-on-one care. I then spent two years teaching physiotherapy students, which deepened my understanding and love for the profession. For five years, I ran my own practice in India, enjoying the independence of working closely with patients to achieve their goals. Since moving to Canada, I initially worked in Kingston before settling in Ottawa, where I now focus on orthopedic rehabilitation. I believe that effective assessment is the foundation of successful treatment, which is why I prioritize listening to my patients’ needs and concerns. While I’m always eager to learn advanced techniques to enhance my skills, I firmly believe that hands-on therapy and targeted exercises that can be done at home, are key to addressing complex cases and achieving lasting results. Outside the clinic, I’m dedicated to my family, spending my free time with my children. Each day, I pray for wisdom and grace to be the best physiotherapist I can be, helping my patients move better, feel better, and live better.
