Kiera Brown is a passionate Chartered Physiotherapist with a focus on facilitating clients to discover their own movement potential so as to improve their performance – whether that is in everyday life or at elite sports level. Having graduated in 1998, with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy at the University of Ulster, Kiera spent a few years in a hospital setting before moving into Private Practice in 2000. Kiera has an interest in Chronic Pain, Wellness and the promotion of Physical Activity for all. Kiera has had the privilege of training in Acupuncture, under the direction of Mary Pender and graduated from UCD in 2002 and then further training with world-renowned experts Dr. Tan’s (Balancing method) and John Tindall in London. She has always loved watching and teaching beautiful, graceful, powerful movements. Initially, she trained in London in 2004, with Body Control Pilates. In 2019, Kiera trained with Joanne Elphinston with the JEMS movement and the results are amazing. She enjoys working with clients to uncover their own dysfunctional movement patterns, to understand how those patterns fuel their pain/ recurrent injuries and then holding the space for clients to discover their own solutions. Kiera is active in promoting health and wellbeing within the clinic and within the community. She is interested in working with individuals and communities to discover and address the barriers to healthy lifestyle choices. She is the Healthy Club Officer for her local club and sits on the Executive Board. She is responsible for Diversity & Inclusion and Promotion of Health and Wellbeing within the Club. Kiera is also a current member of Board of DLR Sports Partnership, whose main objective is to increase participaton in sport. During her time off, Kiera is now focusing on cycling. Having had the privilege of running both the New York and Dublin Marathons, she now prefers 10 km leaving the longer distances for the bike! She enjoys yoga, pilates and strength training. Kiera is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapist (ISCP) and CORU registered.
