Emma Bontron graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2021 and was awarded top of her class for academic achievement. Her approach to treatment is patient goal oriented while maintaining a relaxing atmosphere. She is proficient in many types of techniques including Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, trigger point release and fascial mobilization. She has a strong drive to continue learning new techniques and skills to further help her clients, and looks forward to working with a variety of clients, and helping them to reach their goals for treatment. She also hopes to bridge her previous career, working with children with ASD, to create accessible and flexible treatments for children with autism and other diagnoses. Emma first became interested in massage therapy while studying developmental psychology when an anatomy class ignited a passion for learning a more direct and hands-on approach to helping her clients feel their best. Before entering the massage therapy program, Emma worked for 4 years as a respite worker and behavioural interventionist, working with children on the autism spectrum. Outside of the clinic, she can be found volunteering with a therapeutic riding program, cooking, exploring local parks and spending time with her family and friends.
