I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist with over 25 years of experience in the field of therapeutic bodywork. I hold advanced certification in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) through the Chikly Institute, and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) through Klose Training, specializing in the treatment and management of lymphedema, post-surgical swelling, and chronic inflammatory conditions. Known for my compassionate and individualized approach, I combine clinical skill with a deep understanding of the lymphatic and muscular systems. My treatments are rooted in evidence-based techniques that support healing, reduce discomfort, and improve quality of life for each client. In addition to lymphedema and MLD therapy, I offer comprehensive massage therapy services tailored to address pain relief, stress reduction, and rehabilitation. I am committed to continuing education and stay current on the latest research and techniques in manual therapy and integrative health. SET The Technique proudly accepts VA referrals as a community care provider and welcomes clients utilizing Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). My practice is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming space for healing and recovery.
Massage
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
