Amanda graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy after obtaining her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. She has extensive clinical training and experience in treating patients with a wide variety of conditions, and has participated in specialized placements including Canuck Place Hospice, Ride to Conquer Cancer, Friends for Life, Surrey Memorial Hospital, and many more. Amanda takes a versatile approach to include a personalized assessment, therapeutic treatment, and home care tailored to the needs of each individual. Her treatment focuses on normalizing the soft tissues affected by tension, pain, stress, injury, or illness through the use of manual techniques such as light to deep tissue massage, trigger points release, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, passive and active stretching, and Swedish massage depending on what is required through assessment to provide treatments with a perfect balance between relaxing and therapeutic. Amanda believes that home care is an essential part of the healing process, thus she gives her patients easy-to-follow instructions on stretching, strengthening, and hydrotherapy to achieve optimal health and function. NOTE: Amanda only does direct billing to Pacific Blue Cross. If you have other insurance, you will need to submit your own claims.
