Pamela is a duel registered practitioner: a certified manual Osteopath (Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice - DOMP) with the association of Osteopathy BC and a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC). Pamela started her journey into Manual Therapy in 2009 with the 3000 hour Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT). In 2017 Pamela successfully completed the 5 year Manual Osteopathic training program with the Canadian School of Manual Osteopathic Practice in Vancouver. In 2022 she completed a case study on Juvenile Scoliosis and Manual Osteopathy and received a Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP). Pamela looks at the individual as a whole and does a whole body assessment from head to toe. She takes into consideration the clients symptoms, medical history and what is presented in front of her with what the individuals body is communicating. MODALITIES AND TECHNIQUES THAT PAMELA USES: Myofascial Release Cranial Osteopathy Joint Mobilizations Visceral Manipulation Biodynamic Osteopathy HOW TO PREPARE FOR A SESSION WITH PAMELA: To make it easier to access your tissues and body for assessment and treatment, please be sure to wear/bring shorts. For the ladies, please wear a sports bra or tank-top/camisole. During your initial session, Pamela gathers a thorough history of your symptoms, physical injuries & surgeries in order to gain an understanding of the particulars of your individual case; therefore if you have medical imaging results that you believe would be of significance, please bring them along. PAYMENT: Each 60 minute Adult session is $140 Accept cash, debit and credit card Currently direct bill Medavie, Pacific Blue Cross and Telus E-Health. VACCINATION: Please DO NOT come in for a treatment within 4 WEEKS of receiving any vaccinations. The reason is there has not been any research on the effects of Manual Therapy with recent vaccinations. Therefore for your safety, I request that you abstain from receiving a session with myself.
