Kim graduated from Swedish Institute’s Massage Therapy program in New York City. They love many aspects of bodywork, but particularly its simple yet transformative ability to remind us that we can feel good in our bodies, even when dealing with chronic pain and injuries. Prior to formal education in massage therapy, Kim loved practicing bodywork on teammates as a varsity athlete and recreational dancer. They have also always found massage particularly helpful in dealing with their chronic pain from scoliosis, and incorporate that perspective into their work. They are a former Cornell rower, and still take dance classes as a way of tuning into their body’s physical and emotional needs. Kim’s work incorporates many modalities, particularly Thai massage, deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. They are also over halfway through a yearlong course in Oncology Massage, which has given them a greater understanding of how to meet the needs of people in different stages of their health journey. Kim is also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and loves to work with fellow queer and trans clients to create an empowering bodywork experience that honors their needs and boundaries. They collaborate with clients to create bespoke, tailored sessions that feel safe, deeply relaxing, and fun.
Our deep tissue massage focuses on addressing overall tension in the body as well as acute and chronic pain.
