Daphne Xuan completed her Master of Physiotherapy at Western University in 2016, and her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia in 2014. Daphne works with clients experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, with particular interest in shoulder and low back concerns. She also has a growing interest in chronic and/or persistent primary pain—pain that continues without an underlying disease process or a clear structural cause. Having recently completed the Pain Foundations course from Pain Canada, Daphne is deepening her understanding of pain science to better support clients navigating longstanding pain. Daphne uses a combination of education, exercise, functional dry needling (sometimes called IMS), and manual therapy to tailor treatment to each individual’s goals and circumstances. She believes in helping clients build a resilient view of their bodies and their abilities to heal and adapt. Daphne also offers clinical pilates to support rehabilitation through building core strength, movement control, body awareness, and overall capacity. In her free time, Daphne enjoys travelling, hiking and camping, videography, and learning new things. She is fluent in English and conversational in Shanghainese.
