Margo Bruguier
Bodywork of Bend
335 NE 4th St, Bend, OR, 97701
Margo had the pleasure of growing up in Sisters, OR where she guided mountaineering trips into the Three Sisters Wilderness and raft trips along the Deschutes river. Her love for the outdoors continues, as Margo enjoys traveling, throwing clay on the wheel, doing yoga and being around her friends and family and gardening. After finding her passion within holistic medicine, she decided to pursue Massage. Margo received her education in Massage at Central Oregon Community College, ultimately graduating and becoming licensed in 2018. Margo’s bodywork blends Eastern and Western techniques from her training such as acupressure, Japanese facial and Thai foot reflexology with deep tissue, myofascial release, aroma therapy, cupping and Swedish relaxation. She also loves to weave in Gua Sha, Cupping, Aromatherapy and Hot stones to encourage your highest potential of healing. Massage has always come naturally to her since she was young, and she loves having the opportunity to provide a space of healing to the community. Margo feels that massage is such a unique profession because it caters to everyone at all ages, activity levels, and stages in the healing process. Massage benefits can be different from person to person; from injury recovery, preventative care, circulatory support, to simply being in space where respect and acceptance are of utmost importance. In her personal time, she spends her time hiking with her cat, Phoenix and farming at her family garden. It was through her education at Central Oregon Community College that she was introduced to the eastern perspective and everything began to make sense. Her main inspiration in massage lies in blending the aspects of eastern and western ideologies that nurture the body: mentally, physically and emotionally. Through techniques such as Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Shiatsu, she is able to create a foundation of massage that meets a variety of client needs.
Massage techniques that range from gentle to firm pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, increase circulation, as well as other health benefits. Communicate with your therapist to customize the pressure and specificity you need to ease your mental and physical stress and allow yourself to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
