Leah is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of New Hampshire and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Dipl.Ac). Leah is a graduate of the Clinical Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu Hawaii. She has completed additional advanced certifications and enjoys working with a variety of conditions ranging from women’s health, infertility, orthopedic and pain issues, emotioal wellness, neuromuscular and cosmetic acupuncuture. Leah’s acupuncture treatments draw from the wisdom traditions of Japanese palpation based acupuncture and diagnosis, while weaving in modern modalities that pull from sports medicine acupuncture and myofacial release. Her treatments are deeply relaxing and healing while being clinically effective. Additionaly, Leah is a Chinese medicine herbalist and licensed massage therapist. Leah is ever so grateful to be living with her three children and husband Jon in beautiful Hancock NH and is deeply honored to serve the Monadnock communities.
Welcome new acupuncture patients! This initial visit will be the starting point for all acupuncture care. During your initial appointment your acupuncturist will take the time to go over your detailed health history and set treatment goals. Herbal remedies, dietary and lifestyle recommendations may also be discussed. The intake will include Traditional Chinese Medicine pulse, tongue and palpating diagnoses as well as a full acupuncture session with adjunct therapies as needed such as cupping, herbal therapies, oils and or energy or bodywork.
