Born and raised in the Washington, DC metro area, Claudia went to college in Queens and now resides in Brooklyn. Claudia believes touch is the oldest form of medicine and healing and has been massaging family since childhood. She is a graduate of Pacific College of Health and Science with an Associates of Occupational Studies in Massage Therapy. Claudia tailors each session to the needs of the patient by taking care in listening to their words as well as their body. Claudia joined the massage industry after her grandmother suffered with breast cancer and she saw how body work can make a world of difference for someone in pain and discomfort. Seeing that her hands could be tools to improve someone's quality of life pushed Claudia down the path towards massage therapy. While training as a massage therapist, Claudia discovered a passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Thai massage and uses these and other Eastern techniques in her practice along with Swedish massage and other Western modalities. After years of working with children and spending time with the babies of her family, Claudia is getting certified in prenatal and postpartum massage so she can fulfill her dream of helping people be more comfortable during pregnancy and help bring babies into the world. During her massage internship in the school clinic, she often treated people with pain conditions and found that she has a lot of success in helping people with chronic and acute pain. Patients have often said they feel cared for after sessions with Claudia and she looks forward to continuing to create an environment of safety and care.
