Javad Raeesi (he/him) Javad Raeesi (he/him) is an experienced Physiotherapist with 8 years of clinical practice and is a PhD candidate in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Western University. Specializing in spine and upper extremity rehabilitation , Javad is conducting research at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC) at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He has extensive training in manual therapy, holding certifications in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) , Mulligan techniques , dry needling, and advanced mobilization methods that complement his tailored exercise prescription. Recognized for his clinical and academic excellence, Javad has received the Jal Tata Award in Physiotherapy and the NAN-Philipson Award in Teaching . He remains actively engaged in the profession as Vice President (Academic) at the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and contributes to advancing physiotherapy practice through research and education. His treatment philosophy centers on understanding each patient’s unique goals and creating individualized care plans that promote long-term wellness. Outside the Clinic Outside of the clinic, Javad enjoys staying active with badminton, reading non-fiction books, and spending quality time with family and friends. A former gymnast in his middle school years, he maintains his passion for movement and physical activity in his daily life.
