Monique Handloser, L.Ac., is a nationally board certified acupuncturist (NCCAOM), licensed through the Oregon Medical Board. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon in 2014. In 2021, she began pursuing her Master’s degree in Acupuncture (MAc) at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM). She completed her MAc at OCOM in June of 2024, with a special interest in treating pain, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions as well as general health. In the winter of 2024, after completing all of her board exams, she spent 6 weeks volunteering as an acupuncturist with the Acupuncture Relief Project (ARP) at a clinic in the rural village of Bajrabarahi, Nepal. During her time in Nepal, she also traveled to ARP’s satellite clinics in Taukhel and Mahankal to provide care to the patients in those villages and the surrounding area. Through this experience, she saw patients with a wide variety of conditions, including pain, post-stroke sequelae, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular, gynecological, and dermatological complaints. In her spare time, Monique enjoys pursuing her outdoor interests, including hiking, running, tennis, surfing, snorkeling and freediving. She also loves traveling, baking, watercolor painting, crafting, and playing games. Monique is an avid lover of all animals, but has an exceptional fondness for cats and dogs.
