I am Carlos Messerschmidt founder and lead therapist at the Myo Pain Center OC. My career began in 1996 at the Myofascial Pain Treatment Center in San Francisco. I started out as a licensed massage therapist and in 1999 became a Board Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist. My exposure to patients who suffer from all kinds of pain sparked and interest in other hands-on methods; among them are the Rosen Method Bodywork & Movement (somatic), Massage Cupping Therapy and Lymphatic Therapy. My expertise is in treating Myofascial Pain and dysfunction. I believe that my unique training background is what enables me to help patients and clients to get their lives back. Since pain is a complex experience it requires not only knowledge and skills, but intuition, guidance, and the ability to listen to the patient.
