Burrard Physiotherapy
1190 Hornby St, 702, Vancouver, BC, V6Z 2K5
Alice began her physiotherapy journey as an injury prone athlete who spent too much time visiting clinics and finally learned how to tape her own ankles. Alice attended McGill University for both her Bachelor and Master degrees in physiotherapy where she continued balancing her own athletic career on the field hockey team and being a student therapist on the sidelines for other varsity teams. After six years in Montreal Alice finished her degree in Reading, England working with a division one women’s soccer team before returning home to Vancouver. Following University, Alice completed her Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy Canada. Through this program Alice has been working with teams at all levels, from local rugby and lacrosse clubs to her current work with the Canadian Women’s National Team in field hockey. She also has worked at various international sporting events, including figure skating grand prix and fencing world championships. While Alice has a special interest in sports, she is passionate about helping anyone achieve their rehab goals; it doesn’t matter if you want to run a marathon or just walk up the stairs post-op. Alice takes a hands-on and exercise-based approach, focusing on correcting underlying biomechanical issues and building sustainable exercise programs. She is particularly interested in concussion and helping to navigate the return to play and learn aspects of recovery. Alice retired from organized sports following university and instead has found a passion for backcountry hiking and trekking; if she’s not in the clinic or on the sidelines of a playing field, chances are you’d find her in the mountains somewhere.
Only book this appointment if approved by your therapist or if you have multiple areas of injury that need to be treated.
