Zsofia Jambor, B.Sc., M.OMSc, Manual Osteopathic Therapist & Yoga Therapist Zsofia is originally from Hungary and was able to live in multiple countries as a kid. She was a competitive swimmer most of her life and loved studying languages and sciences. She knew early on that her desire to help others (human and animal alike) would lead to a career in health care. Her formal education began with an undergraduate degree in comparative animal physiology. During this time, she worked as a personal trainer specializing in functional training and was fascinated by anatomy. After graduation, her passion for movement and mindfulness led to lengthy studies in yoga, accumulating over 14 years of teaching experience internationally and countless hours of training in Anusara, Hatha and Restorative Yoga. Her desire to heal her own challenging health issues, as well as that of her students, ultimately drew her to osteopathic therapy and its holistic approach. Her own experiences as a patient ignited her passion to become a Manual Osteopathic Therapist. She graduated in 2016 with an award of distinction from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Since completing her masters, she has also undertaken post-graduate study in paediatric and obstetric osteopathy as well as biodynamic osteopathy. Her focus is supporting her patients to understand the interconnected relationship between their symptoms and the compensatory patterns the body develops to protect and support them. She uses the many tools from her past trainings in yoga and physical therapy to also guide patients to become more proactive in their journey towards greater health. The subtle and powerful treatment of the body’s electromagnetic fluid fields and treatment of the craniosacral system are her primary specialties and offer gateways towards revitalizing and shifting the limitations imposed by past trauma, illness or dysfunctional movement patterns. She enjoys a well rounded practice, caring for patients of any age and need. She is delighted to join her colleagues at the Shelburne Family Chiropractic & Wellness clinic and looks forward to meeting the wonderful members of the community they serve.
