Devonna Truong, owner of Tru Physiotherapy, is passionate about advocating for evidence-based practice and the indispensable role of exercise and empowerment within the biopsychosocial approach to healthcare. She believes in the power of knowledge and inspiration in uniting all aspects of a person’s health and is truly fulfilled by being able to help others in a meaningful way. She has practiced in several different clinical settings and has established a strong vision and core fundamental principles that govern her practice. She is motivated to create a safe space that reflects her core values as a physiotherapist, in hopes of inspiring and guiding her patients to take control of their health. Devonna’s educational background includes two degrees from McMaster University, as well as an extensive involvement in continuing education. She is a facilitator at the physiotherapy program at the University of Toronto and previously, McMaster University. She is also passionate about advocating for women’s health and pelvic health not only in clinic, but she also works with an amazing team of women as Chair of the Women’s Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She believes in recognizing the pelvic floor and the rest of the body as an integrated whole by unifying pelvic health within physiotherapy practice.
