Christine holds a Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP), graduating from the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) in 2011. She is a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO). Previously in her manual therapy career, she was a Massage Therapist, graduating from the Sutherland-Chan School & Teaching Clinic in 1999. Christine has been practicing manual therapy for over 25 years in Toronto, Canada. She is a life long learner, striving to develop her skills and staying current on new developments in the field of osteopathy. Christine’s approach is creating a customized client centred plan of assessment and treatment. Strengthening and/or stretching suggestions are offered to provide self-management tools for ongoing care. Cranial-vertebral-sacral assessment, gentle joint mobilization, soft tissue release, and visceral mobilization are used to move the body towards homeostasis. Christine’s practice includes many conditions, including but not limited to, repetitive strain injuries, high impact injuries (whiplash, concussion, headaches), back/neck pain, peri-natal, hyper-mobility, TMJ/jaw pain, digestive and respiratory conditions, stress/anxiety reduction and chronic pain. She is open to discussing other conditions that may be of concern. In her spare time, Christine pursues an active lifestyle of running, swimming, and cycling. She also enjoys yoga, reading, meditation and being in nature. Christine is excited about being part of the multi-disciplinary team at Sutherland-Chan Danforth Clinic and welcomes new and returning clients.
The Initial appointment includes discussion of your medical history, assessment and treatment, followed by treatment plan guidance and self care suggestions.
