Dr. Kevin D’Angelo graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor Degree of Science in Kinesiology. His interests in exercise performance and sports medicine led him to continue his studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude and Clinic Honours. In pursuit of specializing in sports medicine, he went on to obtain his Sport Sciences Fellowship from the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada) through the post-graduate residency program at CMCC. In addition to his formal studies, he has also obtained certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University and is a provider of Active Release Therapies (ART) . Sports Injury Management and Optimizing Performance Sport involvement and sports injury management has always been a key element to Kevin’s life and practice. He has worked with amateur, national and professional athletes across a variety of sport settings such hockey, lacrosse, football, soccer, dance, cycling, bobsleigh and running. He is currently a chiropractor at the David Braley Sports Medicine Centre at McMaster University serving both its U Sports (CIS) and OUA teams. He also works and consults with high performance and professional athletes at Athlete’s Edge facility at McMaster University. Kevin has extensive experience working in high-performance sport having served as a team chiropractor for the Canadian Taekwondo Team, Hockey Canada, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton (BCS), North York Rangers Jr. A (OJHL) hockey team and York Region Shooters (CSL) professional men’s soccer team. He has served on the host medical teams at major games, including the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto and the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games and Parapan Am Games and Canada Games. Dr. D’Angelo uses current evidence-based and individualized plans to help prevent, rehabilitate, and increase performance in athletes under his care. Outside of clinical practice and sport involvement, Kevin continues to be active in producing healthcare research, instructing, and acting as a peer reviewer for academic journals.
