Born and raised in Victoria, Fiona Peters is a registered acupuncturist and acupressurist with a diploma in acupressure, a four year diploma in Chinese Medicine and has been working in the field of health care for over twenty five years. She offers a wholistic approach, combining acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, gua sha, Qi Gong, diet therapy, herbology and other Chinese Medicine healing modalities to promote, restore and maintain health and well being. Fiona is passionate about her work and enjoys working with people to help shift holding patterns or blocks that often keep us stuck, in pain or with low energy or motivation. The treatments work to help relieve pain and tension (chronic or acute) in the body, reduces stress, help to balance mental health, digestive disorders, women’s issues and much more. Fiona is happy to accommodate those who are sensitive to needles or prefer no needles and works with acupressure, cupping and gua sha as well. Chinese Medicine is a great modality for helping bring health and homeostasis back so we can respond better to our everyday stresses of our North American lifestyle and enjoy living a full life. Since receiving her certification in acupressure from the Canadian Acupressure Institute and the Jin Shin Do Foundation in 1998, she went on to study acupuncture and herbs and received a four year diploma of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2005 from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Fiona has taken post-graduate courses in: auricular (ear) acupuncture for treating addictions and detoxification, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, musculoskeletal acupuncture for sports injury and trauma recovery, Medical Qi Gong and also has a teaching certificate in Yoga. Her love of nature, outdoor activities, the simple things, interest in health and enjoying being with people has guided her along this journey.
