Dr. Kim Gillies is a chiropractor who loves working with her patients. She started Village Chiropractic in 1999 and strives to help patients reduce pain, gain movement, build strength, and improve their function in daily life. Dr. Gillies listens to patients, examines them, and provides a diagnosis and care for conditions involving nerves, muscles, and joints. Her evidence-based treatment could include education, advice, muscular therapy, joint manipulation or mobilization, and rehabilitative exercise. She has completed further certification in rehabilitation and Active Release muscular treatment. In addition to clinical private practice, Dr. Gillies also serves as an Advanced Practice Provider for the Rapid Access Clinic for Low Back Pain Central West program, funded by the Government of Ontario. Family physicians or nurse practitioners refer patients to the program designed to provide assessment, education, and advice, along with referral for MRI, specialist, or surgical consultation as appropriate. She is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Associations and the Ontario Chiropractic Association Research and Knowledge Translation committee. Dr. Gillies is married and a proud mother of two. She regularly spends time with her family on the trails, hiking, running, biking, or skiing.
