Alan is committed to delivering high-quality care to all individuals focusing on exercise prescription, manual therapy, and client education. His clinical interests include the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and supporting clients in returning to their activities at, or beyond, their previous level of performance. Alan completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, followed by a Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario. He also holds certification in Soft Tissue Release (Level 1) and Fundamentals of Running Injuries (1.0). Alan’s interest in working with active individuals is rooted in his own background as a competitive baseball and basketball player, as well as his experience as a municipal lifeguard. More recently, he has developed a strong passion for running and cycling, and has competed in triathlons and marathons since 2021. Prior to beginning his physiotherapy studies, Alan worked as a Kinesiologist for one year and later completed a clinical placement in a private practice setting, where he gained experience working with athletes. In addition, Alan is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, which allows him to provide care in both English and Chinese. Outside of the clinic, Alan is actively training with the goal of completing a full Ironman in the coming years. He also enjoys running with his dog, weightlifting, skiing, and playing the piano.
