Dr. Melanie Dockter is a mama of three, chiropractor, birth enthusiast, postpartum supporter and the co-owner of Venture Chiropractic and Venture Fitness. She believes every busy woman struggling with pain can feel better in their body through simple and effective strategies. Dr. Melanie treats prenatal and postpartum women, women living with the chronic pain, and women who are expected to do it all. Over fifteen years, Dr. Melanie has refined how she looks and treats the body using healing modalities including chiropractic care, soft tissue therapy, therapeutic exercise, and nutritional support to find and treat the root cause of pain. She believes the stronger and more resilient we are mentally and physically, the more present we can be with the people that matter the most. Dr. Melanie’s goal is to not only alleviate pain, but also improve and maximize optimal function. She also enjoys working with children and feels starting chiropractic care early can give them a great foundation to grow and thrive. She focuses on milestone achievement and how they move and interact with the environment around them. Dr. Melanie grew up in Marshall, MN. She graduated from the College of Saint Benedict and obtained her Doctorate in Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University. She is a member of the ND Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has completed numerous postgraduate classes in women’s health and pediatric care obtaining her Maternity & Pediatric Certification (CACCP) and is certified in Webster Maternity Technique. Dr. Melanie never stops learning and pursuing ways she can be better for her patients and those around her. She enjoys playing and exploring with her children, watching movies, trying new foods, spending time with friends and family, gardening, and being outdoors.
