Dr. Mike LaBounty grew up with an older brother who had finished medical school and a sister who had finished Chiropractic school while he was still in high school. That was the beginning of what led him to health care! Dr. Mike attended and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, with the most outstanding graduate award. During his time there, he gained valuable experience through internships with a Gonstead chiropractor and an upper-cervical specialist. Choosing to focus on the Gonstead Method, he has since been providing Ankeny patients with Gonstead chiropractic which is specific, top-notch, tailored care that helps patients naturally improve their well-being. For the past 20 years, Dr. Mike's practice has evolved into offering other modalities and a team of trained providers. Nutritional work has been a vital part of his own healing journey, specifically when tied with Gonstead chiropractic. Dr. Mike is one of our three Gonstead-practicing and Brain Blossom providers on the team, and these providers collaborate with Bountiful Life's massage therapists and nutritional testing practitioners. Dr. Mike teaches Gonstead nationwide and is involved in a regular speaking series around topics such as gait analysis, sacrum adjusting, prone adjusting, extremity adjusting, and visualization. More than anything, Dr. Mike likes to see the family excel in healthcare. He cares for the little one to the patient in their 90s, and all in-between. Everyone deserves the very best care!
