I know what it feels like to want to put your health and wellness first. Being healthy and happy is something we all strive for, but lose some of this, with busy work schedules, meeting deadlines or being a parent running from one place to the next. Massage therapy is that time you choose to put yourself first, and this is a great first step towards your recovery. I always feel privileged to help start this this positive change in someone’s life. I approach treatments with 3 goals in mind. First is providing relief, followed by targeting the underlying problem in the best way possible for you, and finally, understanding and educating you on what the issue stems from and how to prevent it from getting worse. A little about me: In 2011 I graduated from the Medical Radiography Technology Program at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). While working at Surrey Memorial Hospital, I continued my education and worked in Computed Tomography, which then lead me to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program, from which I then passed my licensing exam in 2014. I have always loved learning about the human body, and now I was seeing the dysfunctions that take place in them from a whole new point of view. This is where my passion grew for wanting to help patients in a more direct way. So I went on and graduated from my Degree in Bachelor of Health Science with a major in MRI in 2021. At the same time as I was completing my BSc, I started the Registered Massage Therapy Program at CDI College, and I passed my licensing exams in 2022. Being a mom and wife, I understand what it means to get lost in the chaos. Putting yourself first is not always easy, so I understand the choices and sacrifices you have made to come in and see me. I love working with pre and post natal patients, children, and weekend warriors who may have pushed a little too hard and are now needing some rehab to get back to the activities they enjoy. In my spare time, I love to scramble big peaks, rock climb, mountaineer, snowboard, travel, and scuba dive. Making memories, going on adventures and helping people is a huge part of my life, which is why I love my job. I get to help people get back to doing what they love. Helping the people in my small community makes me happy. I welcome new patients and am happy to answer any questions you may have.
