Born and raised in Chilliwack, Steven has been practicing as an RMT since 2010 after graduating from Utopia Academy (now Vancouver College of Massage Therapy). Steven got reintroduced to massage therapy during his battle with cancer in 2006 and after successfully beating the big C, he decided to change careers and began school for massage therapy the next year. Steven takes a holistic approach to his treatments, treating the main complaint along with most compensatory structures. He uses many different modalities including: Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial trigger points, fascial stretching, pregnancy massage, Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), joint mobilization, and neuromuscular technique to name a few. He usually treats with a firm pressure but can adjust to whatever the patient’s needs require. With over 14 years experience, this massage professional can develop a treatment plan to help you on your path to recovery. From tight muscles, sprains/strains, tendinitis, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, on post surgery recovery including scar work, post MVA recovery (ICBC) and concussion management; Steven will help you back to work, back playing sports, or just feeling more relaxed with less pain and tension in your body.
