Liyu (Lily) Chen, R.Ac., is a registered acupuncturist with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia (CCHPBC). Lily's treatment approach integrates the holistic perspective of traditional Chinese medicine with modern anatomy, physiology, and contemporary medical understanding. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, she takes the time to understand each patient's overall health, lifestyle, bodily function, and individual presentation in order to develop thoughtful and personalized treatment plans. Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal pain, neck and back conditions, sciatica, temporomandibular joint-related discomfort, sports recovery, sleep issues, digestive health, and women's menstrual health. Depending on patient needs, treatment may include acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and gua sha. Lily believes that effective care begins with careful assessment, clear communication, and helping patients better understand their own health conditions. Her goal is to provide practical, patient-centered care while offering a broader perspective on overall wellness and recovery. With a gentle, patient, and compassionate approach, she strives to create a supportive and trusting treatment environment. She believes that effective care requires not only professional knowledge and technical skill, but also understanding, compassion, and trust. She provides care in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese.
