Lindsey Barnett is a lifelong resident of Carroll County, graduating from McKenzie High School in 1999. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2004 and her Master of Science in Education in 2014, both from the University of Tennessee at Martin. While she enjoyed working in accounting and public education, her true love has always been health and wellness. In January of 2023, Lindsey was diagnosed with breast cancer and chose a treatment plan geared toward holistic treatments and modalities. As part of her treatment protocol, she received Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) to strengthen her immunity and protect her body against cancer cells. Lindsey fell in love with this therapy, and decided she wanted to share this method of whole body detox with her friends, family, and community in West Tennessee. In the Fall of 2024, Lindsey became a Certified Lymphatic Therapist and began her practice inside Southern Chiropractic in January of 2025. In addition to preventing and slowing the spread of cancer, some of the other benefits of ALT include: weight loss, reduction of cellulite tissue, reduction of edema and lymphedema, post-mastectomy health support, breakdown of surgical scars, tissue detox, preventative health maintenance, relief from fibrocystic breast discomfort, relief from chronic joint and muscle pain, promotion of T-cell circulation, and reduction of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. Lindsey resides in Huntingdon with her husband and their four children. She enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and attending concerts when she’s not cheering for one of her kids at a football, basketball, or soccer game. Lindsey has enjoyed volunteering her time as a youth coach for Upward Basketball and AYSO, and she was instrumental in establishing the middle school and high school soccer programs in Huntingdon in 2021. Lindsey is a Leadership Carroll County graduate and participated in the Tennessee Legislative Internship Program and the Tennessee Rural STEM Collaborative.
