Ian McLaren graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2016 and is excited and passionate about bringing his skills and knowledge to others in the community. Ian has a deep drive to continue to understand the importance of the mind-body connection, integrating into his practice his experience as a 300-hour certified Kripalu Yoga instructor, as well as many hours of training and experience in mindfulness practices such as Vipassana, open-focus, and SMART. Providing a safe, healing environment is of primary concern for Ian. He tailors his work to each person based on their needs. Modalities include deep tissue, frictions, fascial release, muscle energy technique, Swedish massage, trigger points, and craniosacral techniques.
Deeply restorative. Calm the nervous system. Be Still. For those with highly active or sensitive nervous systems. When strong touch is too much. When you need to rest more than anything. NOTE: This is not a typical Swedish massage treatment. It is bodytalk-type techniques with craniosacral-type techniques integrated.
