Harjit’s passion for sports and fitness led him to pursue a Kinesiology degree from UBC as well as his Master of Physiotherapy from Brunel University in London, England. He grew up in South Vancouver, working as a personal trainer at the Langara Family YMCA and was heavily involved with youth through sports programs and day camps at Sunset Community Centre for nearly 10 years. He also served as a basketball coach with his alma matter at John Oliver Secondary School. Harjit’s experience in sports/weight training led to some unfortunate injuries, which grew a newfound interest in rehabilitation. Going through inadequate rehab himself, he wanted to ensure others didn’t receive the same insufficient treatment. With this in mind, he has a greater understanding of nagging injuries that can hinder regular activities of daily living. He believes in prioritizing the client’s goals by ensuring that they are provided with the knowledge to continue improving independently once their treatment is complete. During his time off, he enjoys weight training, playing/watching sports and spending time with friends and family. Binging Netflix while snacking on any kind of chocolate is also a common occurrence that happens one too many times.
